A few things that really make me happy: hearing my daughter sing, reading my husband's screenplays, anything written by Michael Ruhlman, anything cooked by Tom Valenti...I have a few projects in development, the most dear to my heart adapting Making of A Chef for film...we are getting so close, I can almost taste it. The most real, NBC pilot The Help, script being written. Dream project: Altar Boyz as a movie. For real: Ouest Restaurant, may it continue to thrive, my home away from home.
Other Stuff:
Would one day like to bring Love Actually to the broadway stage. All things Ireland, musical theatre, great TV (these days better than movies), the best restaurants, I'm a total chef whore, bread baking, partying, humor, jokes, skiing, rollarblading, long books and anything having to do with Italy.
artists of any kind (must have a sense of humor along with the crushing angst); of the written word, visualists, humanist, anyone who loves to sing out, handy in the kitchen (oh definately that)...love the chef boys: they feed the soul, uh huh. Impulsive is key, was bad in high school, maybe still a little bad, people who like to stay up late, talk all night, sleep with the curtains drawn and not get up unless there is a great antique show, a matinee, your kid's arioso choir performing or it's just to spectacular to stay inside, walk in snow storms, sunbathe, top it all off with great meals...always.
